When Manjiri Gokhale Joshi, our member based in the United Kingdom, came to Mumbai in February, we decided to keep a roundtable with her as she visits India only twice or thrice a year. The topic was: ‘Reinventing Yourself’

Manjiri, a former journalist, moved to the corporate world and worked across domains. She was one of the 12 professionals selected to work with Sir Richard Branson, business magnate and Co-Founder of Virgin Airlines. A corporate coach, Manjiri is the Co-Founder and Director at Maya CARE, a charity for the elderly, Founder Director of Elephant Connect, Co-Founder of Maya CARE BPO and Co-Founder of Thevi Educational Foundation. She was Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK for a year until December 2024. A published author, Manjiri has written about six books till now.

Manjiri shared her journey and how she moved across various domains. She informed that at Maya CARE, a charity for the elderly, she employs only Persons with Disabilities. The Only Women members discussed the challenges and triumphs of their enterprises as some have moved from their core expertise areas to entrepreneurship or fields they are passionate about. This was a very relaxed peer-to-peer meeting where networking happened over real-life stories, laughter, sinful food, photo sessions and coffee pe charcha.
